Google Spreadsheet

As everyone know, Google has provided a lot of online tools, program or whatever that to make our life easier. And here is another amazing project by Google.com - Google Spreadsheets Google Spreadsheets.

I doubt you guys should know what is spreadsheet, a simple example is something like Microsoft Excel, Lotus 123, OpenOffice.org Cal or etc. Click the definition link here if you want to know more about spreadsheet.

Google always provide something that related to the Web. Because spreadsheet application is widely used over the world and now Google come to create an online spreadsheet that allow us to create, store or even share the spreadseets on the web and it is accessible and editable over the Internet. You can create a new spreadsheets in Malaysia and allow your buddies to edit the same spreadsheets at Tokyo at the same time. Its what the meaning of the slogan “anytime, anywhere“. Other than create a new spreadsheet, you can import your existing spreadsheets in either CSV or XLS format.
Unlike old time that we required to install spreadsheet application (Excel or OpenOffice.org) into our computer for the reason to create, edit or view spreadsheet file, what we need now is a web browser and access Google Spreadsheet

You just need to enter your friend’s email addresses to share your spreadsheets. You even can grant permission for certain people to view only and editable by another people. Another powerful feature allow multiple people to edit or view the same spreadsheet at the same time and allow them to chat in an on-screen chat room for those who are access to the same spreadsheet.

You never have to worry about storing your spreadsheets and lost your work if your computer suddenly turn off. Google Spreadsheets come with auto-save special feature. And don’t think that Google don’t allow you to download the great work that you done in Google Spreadsheets. You can download it as XLS, CSV or HTML format as you like.

By the way, this new project is Google Lab’s product, means it is still in testing stage and not a completely released product.
